Prof. Manca Tekavčič Pompe is a Senior Consultant in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Anterior Segment Surgery at the University Eye Hospital, UMC Ljubljana, Slovenia. She is the President of the Slovene Paediatric Ophthalmological Society and has played a leading role in establishing advanced ROP screening and treatment in the country. Her clinical work also focuses on the treatment and follow-up of congenital cataracts in the wider regional area. Her research interests include ROP, paediatric cataract, paediatric glaucoma, myopia, visual electrophysiology and colour vision. She is the Vice President of the Slovene Ophthalmological Society, an Executive Board Member of WSPOS and a Board Member of EPOS, as well as an examiner in the EBO subspecialty examination in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
